Grill Pavilion 1

In by Andy Bozeman

Smoke, …It’s fun to see it push, puffy and pillar-like, from chimney tops into Winter’s brisk air, signifying warmth and comfort. It’s not so welcome, though, when it invades our ‘fresh air’ lounging spaces with a clouded view and choked breath. This is the case when an outdoor grill is placed too close for comfort. It’s more the case when the lounge area is upstairs, and the grill is downstairs where it pushes puffy pillars of smoke right in your face.

For this project, the addition of a ground level Grilling Pavilion to a two story lake house with an upstairs lounging porch, the puffy pillar pushing was the prime concern.
